Shoreacres City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, February 27, 2018

Shoreacres City Council on Monday voted unanimously to cancel the special election for the May 5 election ballot to consider whether Shoreacres should be consolidated with the City of La Porte.

According to the ordinance canceling the election, the city “did not timely receive a signed petition from its qualified voters on February 16,” which was the date for petitioning for the consolidation proposition. The election is therefore canceled.

The city council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution to authorize Interim City Manager Sidney LaQuey to enter into a contract with Agendease, Inc. for facilitating the assembling and completion of the city's agendas and packets.

The city council voted unanimously to authorizing LaQuey to enter into an agreement with Data Prose Systems for on-site maintenance and user training.

No other action items were on the agenda. Mayor Kim Sanford and Council Member Ron Hoskins were absent. Mayor Pro Tem Ricky Bowles presided over the meeting. Agenda
