Dickinson City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve an employment agreement with Christopher Heard to serve as city administrator, as discussed in executive session.

Heard is from Missouri, and is anticipated to start at the top city staff position on March 26 if he accepts the terms of the city's offer. Heard is being offered an annual salary of $120,000. He will fill the vacancy left by Julie Robinson, who left the position in June.

The city council voted unanimously to increase the annual salary of the CFO/Assistant City Administrator to $88,580 as discussed in closed session.

The city council voted unanimously to purchase a law enforcement boat for high water rescue and marine enforcement operations in an amount not to exceed $39,200.

The city council voted unanimously to award a $14,370 to Precision Pump Systems for the installation of a pump station system.

The city council voted 5-1, with Wally Deats opposed, to appoint Christy Lyons to the Bayou Animal Services Corporation. Lyons will replace Diana Hoerner to represent Clear Lake Shores on the board.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
