The 2018 Best Buddies Texas Friendship Walk
News Release
Friday, March 02, 2018

The 2018 Best Buddies Friendship Walk is almost here! We are looking for individuals, businesses, churches and community groups that want to become invested in our mission. Companies that not only want to sponsor the walk, but want to walk with our Buddies! Join 2018 Best Buddies Friendship Walk Chair, Sarah Pepper, and National Walk Chair, Carl Lewis on April 21st as we walk for Inclusion!

Every step we take, every dollar we raise, plays a fundamental role in supporting and establishing Best Buddies programs in Texas. Across the country, these programs will impact the lives of over 800,000 people this year, and empower nearly 70,000 participants with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), in creating one-to-one friendships and raising awareness in their communities. Best Buddies offers opportunities for social inclusion, leadership development and employment programs to provide the necessary tools for people with IDD to become more independent and valued members of our society.

The largest Friendship Walk in Texas happens right here in Houston, with over 1200 participants registered. We hope that you will join us for the 2018 Best Buddies Texas Friendship Walk by creating a Team or becoming a Sponsor!  It is FREE to register for the Walk, but by raising the minimum of $50 you will receive an exclusive 2018 walk day t-shirt!
