Houston police are investigating several incidents that occurred during the weekend, including Saturday's fatal shooting of a man at 4105 Phlox.

 
Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4105 Phlox

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4105 Phlox about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday (March 3).

The victim, Rundrick Stephon Dudley, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady, M. Casso and Detectives J. Nguyen and W. Huff reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and observed Mr. Dudley on his front porch.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was deceased at the scene. 

Witnesses reported seeing an unknown black male running from the location eastbound on Phlox.  The male was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

Investigation into Shooting at 6002 Wortham Way

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 6002 Wortham Way about 4 p.m. last Friday (March 2).

The victim, 16, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers J. Stroble and M. Barrow reported:

The victim was on the driveway of his residence at the above address when he noticed what appeared to be a dark Nissan sedan drive toward him.  One or more suspects inside the vehicle then fired shots at the victim and fled the scene.  Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital.  He sustained wounds to one of his arms and one of his legs.

Investigation into Shooting at 9585 Main Street

Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men at 9585 Main Street about 3 a.m. on Sunday (March 4).

The victims, ages 36 and 23, were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Detectives A. Ferrell and G. Black reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call outside a bar at the above address and learned an unknown suspect approached two men in the parking lot and fired shots in their direction.  Both victims were struck and transported to the hospital.  The suspect fled the scene.

Investigation into Aggravated Assault at 11100 East Freeway

Houston police are investigating the assault of two women at 11100 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) service road about 1:15 a.m. on Sunday (March 4).

The victims, 23 and 22, were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Detectives J. Roberts and L. Kauffman reported:

An altercation occurred inside a bar at the above address and continued into the street at the above address after the bar had closed.  A male suspect involved in the fight went into this truck, placed it into reverse and intentionally struck the two females.  He then fled the scene westbound on the service road.  Paramedics arrived and transported the victims to the hospital.  One woman sustained an injury to her head and left leg and the other woman injured her right leg.

Investigators were provided a name of a possible suspect and ask anyone with additional information to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

 
Investigation into Fatal Crash at 17700 Gulf Freeway

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 17700 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 9:55 p.m. last Friday (March 2).

The identity of the male victim, 41, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Maness and Officer J. Glenn reported:

The male driver of a red Ford Edge was traveling southbound at the above address when he failed to control speed and struck a white Chevrolet Cruze, which was parked and disabled with mechanical issues in a moving lane of traffic.  The impact caused the Chevrolet to strike its driver (victim), standing in front of the vehicle, and then a Ford F-250 pickup truck parked in front of the Chevrolet.  The driver of the pickup truck had stopped to provide a jump start to the Chevrolet.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.  The driver of the Ford Edge was transported to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center where he consented to a blood draw.  He did not show visible signs of intoxication.  No charges have been filed in the crash at this time.

The investigation is continuing.

 
Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2200 Airport Boulevard

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2200 Airport Boulevard about 2 a.m. on Sunday (March 4).

The identify of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Maness and Officer J. Hill reported:

The victim was driving a red Dodge Challenger westbound at the above address when he failed to control his speed, lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree in the median.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
