Precautionary Boil Water Notice Lifted

HOUSTON - On Sunday, March 4, 2018, Houston Water issued a drinking water advisory for residents north of Will Clayton Parkway, east of the airport, west of US 59 and south of FM 1960 after repairs were made on a 66-inch (5.5-foot diameter) water main located near Beltway 8 North and US 59. Final water samples confirm there has been NO contamination and the water meets all State drinking water standards.

TCEQ requires this mandatory notification and the information below.
Boil Water Notice Rescinded - March 6, 2018

On March 4, 2018, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Houston Main public water system (TX1010013) to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of March 6, 2018.
