Port Arthur City Council

Port Arthur City Council, in a special meeting on Tuesday, voted unanimously to direct the city manager to request BKD, LLP, CPA and Advisors to provide a detailed presentation to the city council regarding facts from a forensic audit conducted of the city's finances.

The city council will hold a workshop to hear the presentation.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the city manager to continue with remediation efforts concerning KCS Engine No. 503 located in Bryan Park, and to obtain bids for moving of the train.

The city council voted unanimously to remove from the agenda a resolution approving a contract with Duro-Last for the roofing of the recreation center at 1308 9th Avenue and a resolution authorizing a contract with Duro-Last for repair of the damaged roof at the Water Service Center.

No other action items were on the agenda. Council members Charlotte Moses and Osman Swati were absent. Agenda
