Dickinson City Council on Tuesday voted unaimously to authorize the creation of Dickinson Public Improvement District No. 4.

A petition was put forward by JMK5 Dickinson, LLC, which owns the property in the district, for its creation.

The district is to be located at approximately 51 acres of property south of FM 517 in the Bayou Bend Estates area. Proposed public improvements include water, wastewater, drainage and detention facilities, roadways, landscaping, fencing, monuments and signage totaling an estimated $4,282,000.

The city council voted unanimously to suspend the May 28 effective date of a proposal by CenterPoint Energy to implement an interim Gas Reliability Infrastructure Program rate adjustment for natural gas utilities.

The city council voted 5-1, with Walter Wilson opposed, to grant a six-month extension for a specific use permit to allow a car, truck and recreational vehicle washing facility generally located south of FM 517 and west of Pabst Road.

The city council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution supporting an application to the Houston-Galveston Area Council to fund a solid waste code compliance officer.

The grant, if awarded, would provide salary and benefits for 10 months.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint City Administrator Chris Heard to the Bayou Animal Services Corporation Board.

The city council took no action resulting from closed session discussions regarding pending or contemplated litigation.

All members were present. Agenda
