Friendswood City Council, in a special meeting on Monday, adopted an order canvassing the results of the May 5 election for the mayor and three positions on the city council.

During the meeting, Mike Foreman was sworn in as mayor, succeeding Kevin Holland. Incumbent Steve Rockey was sworn in for another term in Position 1 on the city council, while Trish Hanks was sworn in for Position 3 and Robert J. Griffon took the oath of office for the unexpired term of Position 4.

Position 4 had been held by Foreman, who vacated the seat to be elected mayor. Hanks takes over from Jim Hill.

No other items were on the agenda. Council Member John Scott was absent. Agenda
