Port Arthur City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a resolution authorizing the mayor to execute a memorandum of understanding with Motiva Enterprises, LLC to accept a donation totaling $1.15 million to be used to purchase equipment for drainage and water utilities hurricane recovery and mitigation activities.

The city council voted unanimously to adopt an updated official map for the city due to the recent disannexation of Sempra Energy’s property.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the retirement of police canine “Koi” and transferring the ownership of the canine to the personal care of Detective Ryan Kidwell.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a resolution rescinding Resolution Number 18- 196 in its entirety, which authorized the execution of a Community Development Block Grant contract between the city and Tender Loving Care Center for Children, doing business as Legacy Community Development Corporation, in the total amount of $22, 480 for housing counseling services.

All other agenda items were approved unanimously with Kaprina Richardson Frank absent. Agenda
