United Way of Beaumont & North Jefferson County to hold allocation award ceremony

20 Southeast Texas non-profits will receive funding for 38 programs totaling $1,739,000

BEAUMONT, Texas – United Way of Beaumont & North Jefferson County will be distributing $1,739,000 between its 20 local partner agencies at an allocation award ceremony on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Foundation for Southeast Texas building, 700 North Street.

All 20 agencies will participate in the award ceremony. An oversized novelty check with the grand total amount of $1,739,000 will be available for pictures in front of a United Way backdrop at the award ceremony as well. Each agency will have an opportunity to join in a group photograph with the grand total check at the end of the event. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

The allocated funds will benefit 38 programs of United Way of Beaumont & North Jefferson County’s 20 local non-profit organizations in the Southeast Texas area for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

United Way of Beaumont & North Jefferson County provides funding for the following agencies in Southeast Texas: American Red Cross of Southeast and Deep East Texas, Anayat House, ARC of Greater Beaumont, Boys’ Haven, Boy Scouts of America - Three Rivers Council, Capland Speech Therapy Center, Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas, Communities in Schools of Southeast Texas, Family Services Counseling Center and Women & Children’s Shelter, Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council, Legacy Community Health, Nutrition & Services for Seniors, Rape & Suicide Crisis Center of Southeast Texas, Salvation Army Corps and Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club, Samaritan Counseling Center, Shorkey Center, Southeast Texas Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse, Southeast Texas Family Resource Center, Southeast Texas Food Bank, and Southeast Texas Hospice.
