Heat Advisory for Houston Friday Afternoon

Weather Information

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory this afternoon until 7.00pm.  Heat index values will exceed 108 degrees for several hours this afternoon and early evening.  Heat index values are forecast to approach 105 degrees by 2.00pm.

If extreme heat continues through the weekend, additional alerts could follow.

Protective Actions

Prolonged exposure to extreme heat without proper hydration and other precautionary actions may result in heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
