Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve a tax abatement agreement between the county, API Realty, LLC and Accredo Packaging, Inc.

API Realty owns a tract of land within the City of Sugar Land Reinvestment Zone No. 2018-01, which Accredo Packaging is leasing.

Under the agreement, the county will abate 55 percent of the value of eligible improvements from 2020 through 2029. The company must make a minimum of $18.5 million in improvements by December 31,2019, $15 million by the end of January 2023, and create at least 100 new full time positions by January 1, 2020, and 75 additional employees by January 1, 2024.

The commissioners court took no action regarding the creation of Fort Bend County Reinvestment Zone No. 21. The item was on the agenda for a public hearing only.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to assign a 2013 Ford F-150 truck as an addition to the fleet for the Constable Precinct No. 3 Office.

The commissioners court voted unanimously grant a request by Malcolm Barnes to plant trees in Kitty Hollow Dog Park as an Eagle Scout service project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an agreement with Aviles Engineering Corporation for engineering services regarding the Crossover Road Mobility Bond Project, in an amount not to exceed $69,958.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an agreement with Othon, Inc. for engineering services regarding the Madden Road Mobility Bond Project, in an amount not to exceed $423,143.

The commissioners court met in executive session to conduct annual evaluations of the fire marshal and the county engineering. No formal action was taken, but it was reflected in the record that the evaluations were conducted.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
