League City City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve, on first and final reading, an order calling for a General-Special Election on November 6 to elect a mayor and four council positions, as well as proposed amendments to the city's charter.

Mayor Pat Hallisey, and council members Dan Becker, Hank Dugie, Keith Gross and Nick Long have terms expiring in November. A runoff is scheduled for December 18, if required.

The special election will consist of 14 proposals for amendments to the city charter. Election Order

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Ross Richardson to the Section 4B Industrial Development Corporation Board of Directors.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Peggy Zahler as alternate to the Clear Creek Watershed Steering Committee.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint David Johnson as alternate to the Dickinson Bayou Watershed Steering Committee.

The city council voted 5-3, with Long, Gross and Becker opposed, to approve an agreement with Freese and Nichols, Inc. for CIP Project Management Assistance, in an amount not to exceed $398,000.

The city council voted unanimously to approve, on first and final reading, an ordinance ameding the city's governmental, proprietary and capital funds budget for FY2018.

The city council voted 7-0, with Becker not present, to authorize staff to proceed to finalize negotiations and approve an offer to sell and purchase a 0.8955-acre parcel of land from Transco Management Group, LLC, located on the corner of Calder Road and Ervin road, as discussed in closed session.

The city council voted 7-0, with Becker away, to authorize staff to proceed with finalizing negotiations and approve an offer to sell and purchase a 1.251-acre parcel of land from Marlene Johnson Neff, et al, located between Calder Road and Hobbs Road, as discussed in closed sessoin.

The purchases support the Ervin-Hobbs Connector Project.

The city council voted 7-0, with Becker away, to authorize staff to proceed as discussed regarding legal issues related to a utility agreement with Municipal Utility District No. 6.

The city council voted 7-0, with Becker away, to approve goals as discussed in closed session regarding evaluation of the city manager.
