Brazoria County Commmissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve an interlocal agreement with the Brazoria County Toll Road Authority and the City of Pearland for the State Highway 288 Frontage Road Improvement Project.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation declaring the week of July 16-20 as Probation and Parole Supervision Officer Week. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to six offers for the purchase of tax-foreclosed properties:

  • $100 for 0.1722 acres at County Road 798, Block 1, Lot 33
  • $1,000 for 0.2 acres at Wagon Trail, County Road 555, Lot 21-E
  • $8,000 for 0.93 acres at 326 Buffalo Trail
  • $350 for 0.3444 acres at South Belt Drive, Block 1, Lot 4
  • $1,050 combined offer for 0.263 acres at 211 Whispering Palms
  • $500 for 0.099 acres at 203 Whispering Pines

The commissioners court took no action regarding a variance request from the county's platting requirements for the Fordham at Silverlake Development. The developer had requested that the required contribution to roadway improvements along County Road 94 be based on the measurement of the percentage increase of the additional traffic caused by the development rather than the linear feet of frontage of the tract. The item died for lack of a motion.

The commissioners court took no action resulting from several items discussed in closed session regarding pending/contemplated litigation and potential litigation.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
