Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11400 West Bellfort

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11400 West Bellfort about 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday (July 11).

The identity of the male victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer S. Le reported:

The victim was driving a black Toyota Camry northbound on Misty Glen Lane.  As he left the stop sign at the intersection of West Bellfort, a red Honda Accord, traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on West Bellfort, struck the Camry on the driver's side door. 

Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The driver of the Honda was questioned and released with no charges filed at this time. 

The investigation is continuing.
