Sugar Land City Council

Sugar Land City Council on Tuesday voted to award a $1,746,306 contract to Allgood Construction for the construction of the Convington Woods Drainage Improvements Project.

Allgood submitted the lowest of four bids for the project. The project includes box culvert and storm drain installation along Sugardale and Sugarfield Courts, a 30-inch storm drain on Greywood Drive, tying into the recently completed Bournewood Drive trunk line, and full-width pavement replacement on Greywood Drive from Pinecroft Drive to Elkins Road.

The city council voted to approve a $352,492 14-month contract with Ambassador Services, LLC for custodial services for city facilities.

The contract will automatically renew for four additional one-year terms for a total contract cost of $1,536,802.

The city council voted to approve an interlocal agreement with the City of Rosenberg to participate in a cooperative purchasing program for competitively solicited goods and services.

During the meeting, the city council received the proposed FY2019 Budget and five-year Capital Improvement Program for 2019-2023. The proposed budget totals $245,421, including capital projects for the year. General Fund expenditures total $89,259,374.
