by Garrett Bryce
Friday, August 10, 2018

Clear Lake Shores City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a contract with Brent Spier as a new city administrator, as discussed in closed session.

Spier will succeed George Jones, who left the city early this year. Spier currently serves as town manager of Seelyville, Indiana.

“Brent brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading a similar sized town as Clear Lake Shores,” said Michael McNamara, Clear Lake Shores mayor. “We conducted a thorough search for our next city administrator, and Brent exhibits all of the qualities and qualifications we were looking for." The city council took no action regarding amending the city's Code of Ordinances to add regulations regarding mobile food vendors in order to require a permit and provide conditions for issuance or denial of a permit to a vendor.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
