Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to award a $981,983 contract to ISI Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the Balmore Road extension.

The project is being funded through the 2013 Mobility Bond.

The commissioners court held a public hearing, but took no action, regarding renaming of Williams Way Boulevard to Richmond Parkway from the city limits of Richmond to FM 762.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Bill Jameson to the Gulf Coast Rail District Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Quartus Graves, III and Chris Martin to the Brazoria-Fort Bend Rail District Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to amend a tax abatement agreement with BCBP Cravens East, LP and Best Buy Warehousing Logistics, Inc. to assign the abatement agreement to Hou Ind 3, LLC from the current holder, HPC-Seefried BB, LLC.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Chiat Koo Lim on behalf of Intelliworks, LLC to waive penalty, interest and collection fees totaling $654.85 on property taxes for Tax Year 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Allyssa DeCenzo on behalf of Comcast Spotlight, LLC to waive penalty, interest and collection fees totaling $400.68 on property taxes for Tax Year 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award contracts for the purchase of vehicles to Caldwell Country Chevrolet, Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land, and to Grapevine DCJ.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a contract to Vesta Rea and Associates for marketing services for Fort Bend County Public Transportation. Commissioner James Patterson noted that he had filed a conflict of interest on the item, but voted in favor of approval.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to incur litigation charges, in an amount not to exceed $10,000, in the matter of Fort Bend County vs. Shane Hedt, Kasi Hedt, et al regarding the Needville/Fairchilds Road Project, Parcel 28, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to incur litigation expenses, in an amount not to exceed $10,000, in the matter of Fort Bend County vs. Murray D. Straznicky, et al, regarding the Old Needville/Fairchild Road, Parcel 29, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to incur litigation expenses, in an amount not to exceed $20,000, in the matter of Fort Bend County vs. James C. Smith, et al, regarding the FM 359 Road Widening Project, Parcel 15, in Precinct 3, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to incur litigation expenses, in an amount not to exceed $15,000, in the matter of Fort Bend County vs. James Allen Williams, et al, regarding the Cane Island Boulevard Project, Parcel 6, as discussed in closed session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
