News Release
Wednesday, November 07, 2018

After Harvey, City contractors removed more than 150,000 cubic yards of debris. Previously, the City of Friendswood was reimbursed more than $4.4 million by the Federal Emergency Management Agency for debris removal. That was ninety percent of the total cost. The City’s remaining ten percent share was $489,698.

Following application to the State of Texas, the City recently received $489,698. That payment completes the full reimbursement for Hurricane Harvey debris removal.
