The Texas City City Commission on Wednesday voted unanimously to amend the city's FY2019 Budget to appropriate funds for the Moore Memorial Library Improvement Project.

The city is transferring $1,775,000 in unassigned fund balance to pay for the project, which includes new flooring/carpeting, new patron study rooms, a new group study room, updated electrical capacity, a redesigned entrance area, redesigned circulation desk and reference desk, redesigned bathrooms to be family style bathrooms, and improved plumbing capacity.

The city commission voted to amend the city's FY2019 Budget to appropriate funds for changes to the Northeast Force Main Project.

The city is transferring $116,526 from unassigned fund balance for additional costs for the project. The amendment will fund clearing and grubbing 26 acres at Attwater and Humble Camp Road.

The city commission voted to appoint Brandon Johnson to the Library Board.

The city commission voted to adopt a resolution supporting a joint declaration of principles in regards to the United States Army Corps of Engineers Coastal Barrier Feasibility Study and its Tentatively Selected Plan.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
